We understand that everyday life can bring stress and strain to both children and families. Our team of therapists are here to provide support and guidance. We have extensive experience helping children cope with a wide range of challenges, including trauma, abuse, and attachment issues that may arise from adoption. Additionally, our therapists are skilled in addressing anger management, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
Please reach out if you or your family could benefit from our services.
YWCA of Contra Costa/Sacramento is here to support you and your children through difficult times. Our skilled therapists specialize in working with children and families, and we can assist in rebuilding family connections after a court-ordered separation through reunification therapy.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, know that we can help. Our trained and experienced mental health therapists and specialized programs are available to support children and families in identifying and addressing challenges, leading to more fulfilling and productive lives.
We offer support for children, teens, and families facing depression, anxiety, abuse, and other mental health concerns. Our goal is to help families live together happily and safely. We work with children and their families individually and collectively to navigate challenges and build stability in an ever-changing world.
Our mental health therapists utilize a variety of techniques, including Theraplay®, an attachment-based approach that fosters connection and trust within families through play. While our primary therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioral therapy, our therapists also incorporate humanistic and psychodynamic techniques. Additionally, we offer pet-assisted therapy for children, teens, and families to address trauma and attachment issues.
