    • A supportive environment for counseling and healing
    • A space where girls and women are empowered to realize their full potential

Since its inception during the transformative era of World War II, when Contra Costa County welcomed defense workers, soldiers, and sailors from across the nation, the YWCA of Contra Costa/Sacramento has steadfastly committed itself to addressing the needs of women and girls.

Since its inception in Richmond, the YWCA of Contra Costa has broadened its reach to include the communities of Antioch, Bay Point, Oakley, Concord, and Martinez. The YWCA of Sacramento provides affordable housing for women along with a variety of services, such as the rental of program facilities.

We invite the participation of women, girls, and families from all linguistic backgrounds, and our dedicated staff is available to assist in Spanish, Farsi, French, and Mandarin. We value and strive to promote the rich cultural diversity that enhances our community, making it a vibrant place to live and work.

Our programs are specifically designed to empower women and girls, families, and communities, helping them achieve their aspirations and carve out their own place in the world.
