Head Teachers & Associate Teacher Openings

The YWCA Contra Costa / Sacramento is a state funded pre-school / childcare program serving children ages 2-4, depending on the classroom. We are seeking energetic individuals at the following locations: Bay Point, Richmond, Mary Rocha, Delta

The following full-time (7-8 hours per day), immediate openings are available:

HEAD TEACHERS ($23.00 to $25.00/hour depending on experience)

ASSOCIATE TEACHERS ($18.00 to $19.00/hour depending on experience)

Full time positions.

• Plan, prepare, and implement an anti-bias curriculum
• Create an inviting environment that includes cognitive, physical, social-emotional, linguistic and creative activities
• Follow Licensing, State Department of Education regulations and standards.
• Must have current knowledge of educational philosophy and standards.
• Provide proper supervision of children at all times.
• Conduct State mandated DRDP's, conferences twice yearly.
• Must have at least 24 ECE, 16 GE.
• Must have teacher permit or higher; or be able to apply for it.

You are required to take and pass fingerprint check, provide DMV record, as well as take a physical, agility and drug tests. Must have recent TB test results (or test will be provided during physical) and be able to provide the following immunization record: FLU, MMR, TDAP and COVID-19 vaccinations.
